%excerpt% vs %excerpt_only%

    Thanks for getting in touch with us.

    %excerpt% – Automatically generates an excerpt from the first few hundred characters on your website. Mostly shows the first 160 or so characters taken from your first couple of paragraphs.

    %excerpt_only% – Takes the meta description from the excerpt field that you manually have to fill in WP:
    null

    It is a pity because% excerpt only% works only on blog posts, on other pages ( my sites with coupons and stores) it does not appear

    Hello Sud,

    You might not want to use them on CPTs like the coupons and stores then. You may use something else. You can choose the setting at WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Titles & Meta > Coupons/Stores CPT.

    If there is an issue, you can rollback to the previous version at WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Status & Tools > Rollback > 1.0.38
