When importing meta descriptions with Chinese characters from Yoast settings, the descriptions are not imported and replaced with an ampersand & , and the meta description on the Front end uses a snippet from the page content.

We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
