Error upon activating Rank Math

  • Hi,

    On a clients website (url in Sensitive Data) the following error message is shown upon activating the Rank Math plugin:

    The plugin generated 1 character of unexpected output during activation. If you notice “headers already sent” messages, problems with syndication feeds or other issues, try deactivating or removing this plugin.

    What to do? For the moment I have deactivated the plugin.

    This issue could be caused by conflicting plugins/themes on your website. Kindly make sure you are using the latest version of all the plugins and themes, please update if not yet.

    Only the site admin would know and your users won’t be affected by this troubleshooting.

    Hi,

    Deactivating Divi and activating standard theme did not help. Deactivating all plugins did not help. So no theme and no plugin conflict.

    I need to ask my client access to hosting / FTP in order to do step 1 and step 4. I will keep you posted.
