Error submitting page to IndexNow

To fix the “error submitting page to IndexNow”, please follow these steps:

Check if the IndexNow API Key location is correct. Sometimes, the API Key location may lead to a 404 page or homepage.

In that case, you will need to manually add the text file to the root of your website with the following name: [your_api_key].txt and the contents should also include the API key.

You can check your API Key by going to Rank Math SEO → Instant Indexing → Settings. Here’s a screenshot for reference.

Once you have added the text file with the API Key, submit a URL again. You should receive a status code 202, which means the request has been accepted and is waiting for the validation of the API key before being submitted.
