Fixed it by deleting the destination pages (which weren’t used anymore’ and cleaning the cache. But that shouldn’t have happened, and I’m not even sure if it was Rank Math’s doing. The redirection were like this:
https://carluc.com.br/laudos-tecnicos/avaliacao-de-eficiencia-energetica/ to https://carluc.com.br/avaliacao-de-eficiencia-energetica/
Hello,
Thank you for contacting us and we regret the inconvenience caused.
I checked the source of the pages and I can confirm that the pages are set to index.
Based on the troubleshooting that you performed, it seems like it was indeed a caching issue, since if the redirection was created using Rank Math, then deleting the destination URL would redirect to the 404 pages.
However, looking at the redirection, it seems like the category part was stripped from the URL, could you confirm if you’ve recently changed the permalink settings of the website?
I suggest you head over to your WordPress admin area > Settings > Permalinks, and hit the Save button without changing anything to update the settings of the website.
Hope that helps.
Thank you.
Didn’t made any changes to permalink.
At first it was redirecting to 404 after deleting the destination pages, but after cleaning the cache it worked.
Cleaning the cache before deleting the pages didn’t work.
