Error in Google Search Console

    When I try to submit the sitemap for my website:
    which was generated using Rankmath’s plugin for WordPress, I get the error in Google Search console, ‘General http error’.

    I’ve already tried following every step in these instructions, but nothing has fixed the error so far: https://rankmath.com/kb/couldnt-fetch-error-google-search-console/

    I should also note that trying to inspect any url on my site with Google Searach Console returns the following error: “Indexing request rejected. During live testing, indexing issues were detected with the URL”. And my website is not getting listed on Google at all.

    What can I do to have my sitemap accepted? It works on Bind webmaster tools already.

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math, and sorry for any inconvenience caused.

    I checked the sitemap with XML Sitemap Validator, the sitemap is validated without any errors:

    Please exclude the sitemaps from caching and resubmit the sitemap in the Search Console.

    Also, please ensure that you have verified the correct version of your website in the Search Console. The final URL is the non-www HTTPS version of the URL.

    For the indexing issue, could you please share the affected URLs so we can check?

    Hello again,

    Thanks for your suggestions, however they have not resolved the errors.

    I’ve had the sitemaps.xml excluded from caching already, and had the correct non www http version of the URL brookside in the search console already.

    For the indexing issue, literally every URL is affected. You could try the root URL, or add /about for example.

    Any further suggestions?

    Hello,

    I tested your sitemap index in an HTTP status checker multiple times and it keeps on returning with an error code. Please refer to my screenshot in the sensitive data section.

    Could you please check this one with your hosting provider?
