Since 500 errors are usually server-related, I request that you get in touch with your web host to check if the related error has been logged in the server log and if there is something that can relay the cause.
You can also ask if these PHP values are already set for your website:
PHP Memory Limit: 512M
Max input time: 150
PHP time limit: 120
PHP max input variables: 1000
