  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for the delay and for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.

Looks like you haven’t followed the instructions correctly.

Please check the instructions here and follow each step correctly and religiously:

You can also follow this detailed screencast:

I hope that helps. Thank you, and looking forward to your update.

I have done all the work again and exactly according to the manual. BUT, despite this, the error remained! Then I repeatedly checked all my actions and made sure that they exactly repeat the manual, including in the video. I did the same on my other website densinelnykov.com but the 401 error remained. I need a solution. Thanks!

    Hello,

Thank you for the update, and sorry for the delay.

Could you please try to re-verify your website on GSC before proceeding and see if that makes a difference?

You can do that by entering the verification code at WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > General Settings > Webmaster Tools, and then proceed following the steps in the video above.

If the issue still persists, the login details to your WordPress dashboard seem incomplete. Please also share the username or password to further check your site.

I hope that helps. Thank you, and looking forward to your update.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math again.

This error suggests that you may not be signed in using the same client ID for the current API project that you connected to the indexing API.

Remember to also enable the index API for your project. Go to this page and select your project in the dropdown near the top, then enable the API.

If not please begin the configuration steps from the top and ensure that you do not skip a step.

Otherwise, we can only check this from your Google Projets end. You can as well record a screencast of the steps you have taken.

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

I still don’t see a solution to the problem. Provided a username and password so that you can see it from your side.

    Hello,

Thank you for keeping in touch with us.

There might be some detail/s that you’ve missed when you do the steps. The instructions that we have published are correct and fully tested, it should work on all sites.

Can you please create a video screencast using loom.com following the process?

We are looking forward to helping you with this one.

Hello. Once again, I went through all the steps from the beginning of the end, and despite this, the error repeats. In addition, I have successfully configured another api key – api place. And that api keys work without problems, but in the case of api, the index cannot be connected in any way. I have provided you with the reporting data. Perhaps the easiest option would be if you could watch it from your own end.

    Hello,

Thank you for getting back to us.

You seem to have enabled your two-step verification for your Google account with the credentials you provided in the sensitive data section.
    See screenshot: https://i.rankmath.com/Ks95eb

With this we can not access your account to check the issue you stated here. Would you mind updating this as shown here: https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/1064203?co=GENIE.Platform%3DDesktop&hl=en

We are looking forward to helping you.
    Thanks

Done. Two-Step Verification is disabled. Thank you. Waiting for an answer.

    Hello,

Unfortunately, we are still replicating the same while trying to login into your account. Here is a screenshot: https://i.rankmath.com/XH5fdK. You may need to test this on your browser as well once you make the changes to disable the authentication process. Please try it in an incognito mode or new browser.

We are looking forward to helping you.
    Thanks.

Two-step verification has been disabled on my google account. You were not able to log in, i think, because google will see unusual activity that someone is trying to log in from an unusual location. I was able to access my mail through a browser in incognito mode and even though I was using a VPN.

    Hello,

Thank you for getting back to us.

As per your recommendation of using the VPN we were still not able to access the Google account as there is still the phone authentication. You may as well try changing the 2-step authentication to a different one that is more convenient for us.

We would only try to set up this again or check if you have set it up correctly on Google Services. This method has been used by a lot of users and they have not experienced an issue with the process.

We are looking forward to helping you.
    Thank you.
