Hello,
I am having an issue with the sitemap, ahrefs and Google are reporting that the sitemap is not accessible. Sitemap added in sensitive data.
It appears as a white page, but there is very little info in the source code.
I’ve added exceptions from cache in WP Rocket and followed this link but no luck.
Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

Hello,
Thank you for contacting the support, and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.
I tried checking your sitemap but my IP was blocked because of Wordfence. Could you please disable it temporarily or you may unblock the countries India, Portugal and the Philippines.
It could also be that Google and Ahref are seeing the same thing. Please do make sure that your sitemap is publicly accessible to bots.
We are looking forward to helping you.
Hello,
Apologies, I forgot about the Wordfence rules. I’ve unblocked the mentioned countries.
I would’ve considered that the sitemap is not accessible because of the blocking, but I can access it and it’s a white page, so it must be something else.
Thank you.
Hello,
Thank you for giving us access. I checked your sitemap and indeed it is showing a blank sitemap.
Can you please flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast?:
https://i.rankmath.com/pipRDpAfter doing so, please check the sitemap again.
Let me know how it goes. We are looking forward to helping you.
Hello,
I’ve changed the Links per Sitemap option and also saved permalinks according to video, but the problem seems to persist 🙁
Hello,
Thanks for getting back
Assuming you are using the latest version of all the plugins and the themes (please update if not yet), it would seem like a conflict with one of the plugins or the theme you are using.
To determine that, please follow this troubleshooting guide:
https://rankmath.com/kb/check-plugin-conflicts/Only the site admin would know and your users won’t be affected by this troubleshooting.
If the issue persists, please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.
It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.
We really look forward to helping you.
Hello,
I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?
Thank you.
I’ve added admin access to the sensitive area section. I also checked site health and there’s nothing that could indicate a conflict.
Please do not make any radical changes or disable plugins/themes, this is a live running big online shop with orders every few minutes. Kindly ask before making any changes.Thank you.
I’ve also disabled the plugin Schema & Structured Data for WP & AMP and the result was the same.
Hello,
Thank you for your patience.
Could you please also check your website’s root directory if you have a static file
sitemap_index.xml
? If so, please delete that file as Rank Math’s sitemap is generated virtually. If there’s no file, please also check your server cache and exclude your sitemap from being cached.
I hope that helps.
Thank you, and looking forward to your update.
Hello,
I could not find any sitemap_index.xml in my server’s root
Also I have no server cache, only website cache, where I’ve already added the exception into WP Rocket.
Hello,
Thanks for your reply.
I visited your website and upon troubleshooting, I found that the plugin “Perfmatters by Forgemedia” is causing the issue here, due to which, the sitemaps are not loading.
As I disabled the above plugin (with Health Check troubleshooting plugin), the sitemaps loaded without any issues.
Please have a look at the screencast available in the sensitive data section of this ticket.
Please get in touch with the devs of the “Perfmatters by Forgemedia” plugin, as they might already have a solution for the issue, and they would be in a better position to assist you further.
Hope that helps.
Thank you.
Hello,
I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?
Thank you.
Hello,
Many thanks for your troubleshooting!
However, I’ve disabled Perfmatters, cleared WP Rocket cache, changed again the Links Per Page in sitemap and saved Permalinks but no change, the sitemap still shows an empty page.I would really appreciate another look. Thank you!
Hello,
Thanks for getting back.
I checked your sitemap and it’s working fine now. Please clear the cache of your browser or check it in a different browser. I have also attached a screenshot in the sensitive data section to confirm that your sitemap is working fine.
Hope this helps. Let us know if you need any further assistance.
Ah, you’re right, I tried an incognito window and it shows fine, must be my browser.
You guys are amazing, I should’ve been able to diagnose this myself but I’ve learned some tricks from you now. Many thanks for your fantastic support, as always!
