  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting the support, and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

The %category% variable is used for WordPress post categories. To get WooCommerce product categories please use %customterm(product_cat)%

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

    Hi

Thank you for your guidance, but my problem persists.
Selecting “% customterm (product_cat)%” did not resolve my issue and did not recognize the product category name.

    Hello,

The %customterm(product_cat)% works fine for the product categories. It will show the name of the category only in the frontend and will show you Custom Term Value in the meta box preview.

Please check in the front end and let us know if it works for you or not.

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Thanks.

When I select the value “% customterm (product_cat)%”; It is not detected automatically.

I need help on how to work with “% customterm (product_cat)%”. I could not use it.

If possible, tell me step by step what I should do.

    Preferably visually

    Hello,

You just have to place the variable inside the SEO title or description field. Can you please confirm that you are not using the spaces in the variable? Use it as %customterm(product_cat)% and not as % customterm (product_cat)%.

If the issue persists then we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.

Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.
    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

We really look forward to helping you.

    Thanks for your tips.

There are 2 problems to provide login details:

1- The site belongs to one of my clients.

2- The site is in Persian

By putting the value in “٪ customs term (product_cat) ٪”. The preview does not yet display the product category name

How can I make sure it works?

    Hello,

In this case, you can create a staging site and provide the login details with us. You can follow this guide to create a staging site: https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-create-staging-environment-for-a-wordpress-site/

Here is a quick screencast to confirm that the variable is working fine on our end and it should work for you too: https://i.rankmath.com/QJQKPh

    Looking forward to helping you.

Thanks for your help, my problem was solved

    There was only one problem.

The language of my site texts is Persian and the categories are in English.

Persian is written from the right and English from the left

In this case, I had a problem (disorganization) that I had to change the language of my categories.

    Hello,

I am glad that you have resolved your issue.

If you have another question/issues in the future, please feel free to create a new forum topic, and it will be our pleasure to assist you again.

    Thank you.
