    Hi Michael,

    I hope you’re well.

    The edit htaccess part of RankMath is not working for me. I am trying to blank out the contents since htaccess will not work on nginx servers, so I don’t need it. I have ticked “I understand the risks and I want to edit the file”, and tried deleting the input box content, then Save Changes. This didn’t work.

    Then I tried Reset Options. This didn’t work.

    Finally tried Reset Options, then Save Changes. This didn’t work either. The input box text remains.

    I can’t show screenshot because every time I add a drop box link my posts get put in an “awaiting moderation” queue.

    Hello,

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math today.

    For this kind of change, you will need to manually login to your site via FTP and delete the contents of this file since WordPress controls the rewrites.

    Hi Michael,

    Since you use Nginx, you can leave out the .htaccess as it is and ignore it. It will not affect your website and will have zero effect on its functionality.

    Hi Michael and Todd, I’ve deleted the .htaccess file from the server and that has cleared the RankMath text area.
