Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for the delay and for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.
You can set your product category to noindex, so only your individual products will show depending on the keywords or terms you are using in Google search results. To do that, head over to your WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Titles & Meta > Product: Product Categories

If the Add SEO Meta Box is enabled, you will need to change them individually in the Advanced tab upon editing the category pages. Then give Google some time to recrawl your website and deindex your product category pages.
If that is not an option, the best you can do is optimize your meta tags to try and match the intent of the search/keyword to your individual products rather than your category archives pages showing in the search results.
I hope that helps. Thank you, and please don’t hesitate to contact us anytime if you need further assistance.
Thank you for your response,
No, I don’t want to put no index on my category because it is well positioned in the SERP on the target keyword.
While continuing to search for a solution, I came across another topic on the rank math support concerning category rich snippets.
Because the name of my product + the customer review + the price is displayed in the category meta description, I’m thinking that maybe it’s that google is using the rich snippet on the category?
Hello,
Thank you for the update.
I apologize for the first resolution I have provided. It seems that your product category archives are already ranking well, so setting them to noindex will cause a sudden drop in your traffic.
It seems like your category archives are ranking better than your individual products. This is normal if the internal links to these archives are more and if Google believes they are a better match for the query than your individual products.
In this case, please create or add more internal links to the individual products for them to show on the Google search results page.
You can also set up the meta description of your category pages from WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Titles & Meta > Product Categories (default) or on the individual pages. To change them individually, please make sure that the Add SEO Meta Box is already enabled there as well

If the description you have set up doesn’t get picked by Google, please check this article for more information and troubleshooting steps:

For your last question, Google uses the <title> and <meta name="description" tags on your website’s source code for choosing the meta title and description to show on the results page.
I hope that helps. Thank you, and looking forward to your update.
