Hello, I have a problem with a website that was initially configured with Seo by Yoast and the Orbital theme.
In a visual and functional update it was changed to Elementor with Astra Theme, and Rank Math as an SEO plugin.
After the change, we started seeing numerous duplicate content alerts when analyzed with Screaming Frog SEO Spider Tools, and at the same time Google started penalizing us with duplicate content.
Almost all the articles that are published on the site generate a series of urls with final /page/2, /page/3, /page/14/… up to any number of pages, almost always duplicating 20 or more urls. of each original article with that type of duplicate url.
The contents on the site are organized by categories, for the moment no tags have been used.
Examples of category structures used:
Cosmetic Surgery
| -Breast
| -Tummy Tuck
| -Liposuction
| -Brazilian Butt Lift
| -Mommy MakeoverSimilar to those we have several groups of categories.
At the moment there are about 273 original articles on the site and when it is revised, about 2944 appear for duplicate content.
My question is the following:
– How can I eliminate the duplicate of content that generates those url pages /page/2, /page/3, /page/14/ … etc.?
– How can I stop WordPrees from creating duplicate content like this?
– Is there a way to configure Rank Math or some other solution to solve this?Thanks

To avoid indexing the paginated pages and category/archive pages, please head over to Rank math > Titles & Meta > Miscellaneous and set enable the options as shown below:

Greetings Michael, Sorry for the delay in answering. I was doing a full migration of all content for a clean WordPress installation, applied all your advice and wala, now everything is perfect regarding duplicate content. Also I leave other tips, I noticed that in the general settings of WordPress I had the definition of the addresses of the site with WWW, apparently this was creating some type of conflict that generated duplicate content, by changing it and putting the domain name only without the WWW, it worked perfectly without duplicate.
Now I have another question, when I run the SEO Analysis from Rank Math, in the Basic SEO information, Common Keywords, it shows a list of the most common keywords, where 3 stand out that do not have to be there, since it is nothing defined by My, where might that keyword definition be coming from?
Here I put the list that shows me:

The first 3 (hellip menu toggle) have nothing to do with keywords assigned to any content, however it detects them as keywords.
What could be causing this detail?I am using Astra theme + Astra addon Pro + Elementor + Elementor Pro + Ultimate Addons for Elementor, WP Roket and Rank Math.
