    Dear Rank Math Support Team,

I hope this message finds you well.

I am reaching out regarding an issue I’m experiencing with my website in relation to the “Duplicate without user-selected canonical” warning in Google Search Console. This appears to be affecting URLs with pagination and certain parameters such as add_to_wishlist, per_page, and others.

It seems that these parameterized URLs are being indexed without a proper canonical tag, leading to duplicate content warnings. I would appreciate your guidance on how to best configure Rank Math to prevent these URLs from being indexed or to ensure they have the appropriate canonical tags.

Please let me know what settings or adjustments I can make within Rank Math to resolve this issue.

Thank you for your assistance, and I look forward to your support.

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting the support and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

If you see the ‘Duplicate without user-selected canonical’ status in your in the Search Console, it means that Google has found identical or very similar content on your website but has not been able to determine which page is the original/canonical version.

Please follow the guide below to learn how to fix this issue:

    Thank you.

    Hello,

Thank you for your prompt response.

I would like to inform you that the tutorial you provided does not address my issue. The following URL has a problem with canonical tags, and there appear to be a large number of canonical variations:

    https://utkalvibes.com/shop/?add_to_wishlist=9302

Could you please provide a more suitable solution to resolve this?

    Thank you,
    Deepak

    Hello,

These URLs are the query parameters of your whitelist products, and you’ll not want to index them on SERPs. In this case, you can add the following rule to your robots.txt file to prevent Google from crawling these URLs:

    Disallow: */?add_to_wishlist=*

Here’s how you can edit your robots.txt file with Rank Math: https://rankmath.com/kb/how-to-edit-robots-txt-with-rank-math/

Hope that helps, and please don’t hesitate to let us know if you have any other questions.

    Thank you.
