Duplicate Canonical issue on the homepage

    Hello, I have been facing a problem with a duplicate canonical tag on my homepage for a while, but only now have I found the possible cause and decided to open this ticket.

    I use the Newspaper theme, along with the rankmath plugin and when using a specific page as the homepage (created with tagdiv composer) and set its attribute to “Pagebuilder + latest articles + pagination” the canonical tag is duplicated and there is no way to solve it.

    Could you help me with that?

    Note: Both my theme and the rank math plugin are in the latest version

    Hi Lucas,

    Thanks a lot for your query and we are so sorry about the trouble this must have caused.

    It sounds like your theme is adding the canonical tag to your website as well as Rank Math.

    Please get in touch with your theme developer and ask them how to disable the canonical tag generated by the theme.

    Thanks for the follow up.

    Unfortunately we may not be in a position to help in resolving the third party theme issue but you can always seek the help of a freelancer to remove the canonical.
