Also, please follow these steps:
1. Flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:

2. Exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server. For plugins or Cloudflare, please follow this article:
https://rankmath.com/kb/exclude-sitemaps-from-caching/

Please head over to your home page advanced tab of the Rank Math meta box and make sure you have not modified the canonical URL. If you have, please remove it to allow Rank math to add this automatically.
Once done, re-save your permalink and sitemap settings.
