Checking the Box beside Search Engine Visibility discourages Search Engines from indexing your site. This has been known to cause negative issues with site indexing. I recommend leaving it unchecked if you need your site to be crawled and indexed by Search Engines.

I’m unsure if you understood my question.
I’m trying to make a prepare a sites SEO on a temporary domain. I don’t want it indexing while I’m preparing the SEO.
Is the method I mentioned above the best way to do this or do you have an option somewhere to enable/disable the SEO from going live?
Domain Example:
prep-subdomain.website.com (Preparing SEO and site on a sub domain)
website.com (Launching on parent domain)

Thanks for the reply.
This option is effective in noindexing your whole website. You can either use this option or you can toggle the global noindex option via Rank Math > Titles & Meta > Global Meta > Robots Meta.
