Does focus keywords impact ranking?

    I am using rankmath free version and I am confused about using focus keywords and seo, as I have not found any html tag for focus keyword on webpage from view source.

    Although, one of rankmath article mentioned that Google don’t consider keywords for ranking, but still I have doubt that does focus keywords do anything else except giving score to articles or does keywords in article schema improve ranking? Please tell me.

    Hello,

    Thanks for contacting us and sorry for the inconvenience caused.

    The focus keyword is mainly used for the content analysis of our plugin. Search engine crawlers like Google are smart enough to detect the keywords you want to rank for directly from the content, you don’t need to add an HTML tag for that. However, the keywords added in the Article Schema also make the search engines aware of the keywords the article is targeting.
