Does AI-generated or AI-translated content need to reduce AIGC?

Recently, this question has been bothering me. Many people online say that it’s necessary to lower the AIGC of an article; otherwise, it will affect SEO indexing and ranking.

However, I found blog articles published before 2020 that had high AIGC but were still ranked in the top ten.

When I created an article and used ChatGPT to optimize it, or when I translated an article from Chinese to English, the AIGC checked on http://www.zerogpt.com was between 60-80%. Therefore, many people suggest lowering AIGC. However, after using tools to reduce AIGC, I found that the sentences became very awkward and incoherent, and the meaning was altered. So I am confused: do I really need to lower AIGC?

  • Hello,

Thank you so much for getting in touch and bringing your concern to our attention.

Google has clarified that AI-generated content isn’t inherently penalized, as long as it’s valuable, original, and aligned with their guidelines for high-quality content. Instead of focusing solely on lowering AIGC percentages, prioritize creating content that meets user intent, is accurate, and provides real value. Over-optimizing to pass AI detection tools can harm readability, which affects user experience and SEO.
