Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.
To exclude a domain, you only need to add the domain in the textbox(without HTTP/HTTPS).
Here’s the example guide for your reference:
https://rankmath.com/kb/general-settings/#no-follow-exclude-domains
In our recent update, we have indeed changed the way our excluding of domain works.
Hope this helps.
Thank you.
I’ve just removed the https and it still appears as no-follow?
Hello,
From your screenshot, it seems that you’re checking the page while editing it, and I’m also unable to see the nofollow attribute for that external link.
However, I’ve checked the page, and it is not containing a nofollow attribute as well. Please refer to the screenshot in the sensitive data section.
Could you please confirm if I’m looking a the correct page?
Looking forward to helping you.
Thank you.
Hi, that is the correct page, can you check now because I changed it temporarily to make all externals do-follow.
Hello,
We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress login in the designated Sensitive Data section.
Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/
You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):
https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/
We really look forward to helping you.
Hello,
I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?
Thank you.
Hello,
I tried to login into your website’s admin area but the logins doesn’t seem to be working.
However, you’ve added complete URLs in the “Nofollow Exclude Domains” option. As the name of the option suggests, it is used to exclude entire domains and not a specific URL.
That is, instead of adding http://getsling.com/, please add getsling.com and see if that helps.
Instead of https://www.getsling.com/employee-time-clock/, you’ll only need to add getsling.com in that field.
Please make these changes for all the excluded URLs and see if that helps.
In case the issue persists, please update the login details so that we can investigate further.
Looking forward to helping you.
Thank you.
Hi, that doesn’t seem to have made a difference and apologies the login is with a lowercase a in admin.
Hello,
Please share the updated login details in the sensitive data section of this ticket so that we can investigate further.
Looking forward to helping you.
Thank you.
