    I have been speaking to Elegant Themes about some issues I am seeing with Rank Math and Divi. Elegant Themes has investigated and informed me that the problem is with Rank Math.

    Generally, I have been using Rank Math integration with the Divi Front End Visual Builder. This has been working well for me. However, since the latest Divi update to Divi 4.12.1, the Rank Math Score has dropped for all pages. For example, I have one page that had a Rank Math score of 91/100. After the Divi update, the same page with same content shows a Rank Math score of 72/100. It seems that after the Divi update, Rank Math is not able to detect all of the content on the web page. The reported number of words on the page has dropped, keywords are not being found in header tags, etc after the Divi update.

    I also noted that if I look at the page on the back-end, the Rank Math score is different again. This time it is 75/100. This score seems to be the same with latest version of Divi and previous version.

    This means I can no longer reliably use Rank Math with latest version of Divi.

    Do you have any update planned to update your integration with Divi?

    Do note that sometimes the score may differ when you compare it to the score shown on the classic/Gutenberg editor as some of the shortcodes and blocks (if you have any) can’t be read on the classic/Gutenberg editor.

    I can confirm the significant difference in the scores between the live and the staging site.

    I tried to conduct a plugin conflict check into your staging site but I can’t enable the plugins while in troubleshooting mode on your website.

    Since this seems like a staging site, let us know if it’s okay for us to disable plugins in order to test the plugins/themes on this website.

    You can disable plugins on our staging site but I don’t believe the problem is to do with any of the plugins as they are the same between live site and staging. As I indicated in my initial report, the change that caused the score to drop was upgrading Elegant Themes Divi to the latest 4.12.x version.

    I don’t know the technical details of the Divi update but there was a major feature upgrade to allow full page editing, including headers and footers, via the front end visual builder. If you look at the Rank Math score drop, it appears it is because Rank Math is not seeing large parts of the content. I am wondering if the Divi upgrade has changed the structure of the page to the point where Rank Math can no longer parse it correctly?

    It seems like the issue is related to the new Divi update. Since the integration of our content analysis API has been done from their side, you should contact the support of Divi and inform them about the issue as they will be able to fix this.
