We’d advise you to review your plugin list for any plugin that does have control over your images and make sure they are not causing the distortion. I’ve just checked and we only use default plugins.

If you are using the MetaSlider to add images to the content, the issue could be related to them. You can check with their support. If the images are distorted in the Media Library, you can check this guide to figure out which plugin is causing the issue: https://rankmath.com/kb/check-plugin-conflicts/

Thank you for the reply. We’ve tried disabling the MetaSlider but the issue persists when an image is uploaded directly from the device. However, the distortion didn’t occur when we upload the image from the Media Library

You may follow the conflict check we have shared above to know the culprit of the distorted image issue.
Please disable the plugins one by one and switch the theme that you’re using during the troubleshooting mode.
If the issue still persists even with the default theme and all of your plugins are deactivated, then we recommend getting in touch with your web host to check your server configuration.
