Discrepancy in the Analysis

    Dear RankMath,
I started using your plugin two days ago and it was a nice surprise.
However, I have a couple of question.
    1) When I run the SEO Analyser it tells me that my focus keyword does not appear in the post(page) title.

Now my page title is “Home” , I’ll never be able to fulfill that request unless I set “home” as a focus word.
    Should I discard the warning?

    2)
Another warning is “Some images on your page have no alt attribute. (14)”
All the alt attributes are there, maybe is because I’m serving Webp images through .htacces?

Thanks a lot for your time
    regards
    Angelo

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math today and the decision to switch to Rank Math.

1). In this scenario, you can ignore the warning. Please note that these are general recommendations that Rank Math will provide to ensure that your post is adequately optimized.

2). Could you please purge your site cache and run the site wide analysis once more?

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

    Hi Michael,

thanks for the prompt reply (you’ll find the same question on wordpress.org…)
    I already purged the cache…..
How can I send a screen shot?

    Regards

    Angelo

    Hi Angelo,

    Thanks for the follow up.

You can share a link to the image from Google Drive on the sensitive data section.

We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

We really look forward to helping you.

    Hi,

to create a temporary login I need a valid email…..

Anyway, as I said other than the Alt tag issue I’m facing another problem.
    The SEO analysis states that

“There are 2 Pagine (pages in Italian) published posts where the focus keyword does not appear in the post title.”

Now the title is either “Home” (The real original page title) or “Web design e identitĂ  visiva | il sito internet per tutti” which is the one that I inserted in Rank Math settings.

If the first instance happens to be true, I do not understand how someone can make appear the focus keyword in the title.

If it was the second one I’d be a little confused because the focus keyword is “web design” and, as you can see, it appears in the title.

Am I missing something? doing something wrong?

Thank’s a lot for your patience

    Regards

    Angelo

Waiting for your reply about focus word in the title I did find a workaround about alt tag missing….
Go to General Settings > Images and there is “Add missing ALT attributes” option.
Set it ON, pick your Alt tag and save.
It worked for me, at least until we’ll figure out what cause the problem in the first place.

    Ciao

    Hi there,

    Thanks for the response.

I am glad that you were able to fix the alt tag issue.
Please note that the Rank Math analysis tests are general recommendations for all posts. In the case of the homepage, the focus keyword on the post title test would not apply and you can ignore this test.

I hope this info helps. Thank you.

    Hi Michael,

sorry, but it doesn’t make sense.
You keep advertising that we should reach 100/100 and then you dismiss one of the steps as non-relevant?
I do apologize in advance but this is a very strange approach towards the problems to be solved.
I understand that the plugin is free and you are loaded with support requests (btw are you the only one in charge of support?) but, again, it doesn’t make sense to dismiss it like this.
We need advice on SEO tasks that are actually doable.
Anyway, the workaround about alt tag worked only for the SEO analysis, but on the post/page it keeps saying “Focus Keyword not found in image alt attribute(s).” how is that possible?
We need a fix for the problem, a workaround is a temporary solution.

    Regards
    Angelo

    Hi Angelo,

    Apologies for any frustration caused.

At the moment, I am handling the first tier of support but there are other members of the support team.
In regards to your question, the “Focus Keyword in the SEO Title” test will check if the keyword exists on the SEO title entered on the Rank Math metabox. At the moment the content analysis tool will check for the exact match of the keyword on the title but this is a bit odd that this is not working for your particular keyword.

We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.

    Michael,

As I specified a few answers before I need a valid email from you to create a link for you……

    Ask for a raise…..

    Hello,

Thanks for getting back to us.

I have added my email address to the sensitive data section. Without the email address, you can always generate a temporary access link using the following plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/

We are looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

    Hi Angelo,

    Thank you for the access.

Rank Math is currently unable to analyse alt tags that are entered via the Divi Page builder. Our dev team is currently working on a deeper integration with page builders and you can expect an update to address this in the future.
I have inspected the page source on the affected pages and the alt tags are correctly set with the focus keywords and thus technically the failed test will not affect your SEO.
To be able to address this limitation on your end, we have released our content analysis API that can be customized for your site. Please take a look at this article for more info on this: https://rankmath.com/kb/content-analysis-api/

We are sorry for any inconvenience caused. Thank you.
