    Issue Description
    Discrepancy in Incoming Links Count

On my website, I have a total of 69 pages, but in the “SEO Details” section on the “All Pages” view, it shows 219 incoming links for some of the pages.
Question: Is there a way to view the actual list of incoming links to verify if this count is accurate?
Potential Accuracy Issue with the Link Counter

I have noticed that the number of incoming links displayed seems significantly higher than expected.
Concern: Could there be an issue with the accuracy of the link counter in Rank Math? If so, how can this be addressed?
Effect of Deleting Internal Links from Rank Math

I am considering deleting internal links from the “Status & Tools” section in Rank Math.
Question: If I delete these links, will it also remove the actual internal links from my website, or will it only affect the link data within Rank Math?
    Additional Information
    My website has 69 pages.
The incoming links count shows a higher number than the number of pages available on the site.

  • Hello,

Thank you for reaching out with your concerns regarding the incoming links count and potential issues with the link counter in Rank Math. I understand the discrepancies you are facing. Let’s address each of your questions:

    Discrepancy in Incoming Links Count

    1. Viewing Actual List of Incoming Links: Unfortunately, Rank Math does not provide a feature to view the actual list of incoming links to verify the count displayed in the "SEO Details" section. The count is based on internal data analysis within Rank Math.

    2. Accuracy Issue with Link Counter: If you suspect an accuracy issue with the link counter, you can try resetting the internal links data as mentioned in the Rank Math documentation. If the issue persists, please feel free to reach out to our support team for further assistance.

Effect of Deleting Internal Links from Rank Math

    • When you delete internal links from the "Status & Tools" section in Rank Math, it only removes the metadata about the internal links that Rank Math has captured. It does not affect the actual internal links on your website.

If you have any further questions or need assistance, please don’t hesitate to ask. We’re here to help!

    Best regards.

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

Unfortunately, right now it is not possible to check the list of the links counted by the Rank Math plugin. But if you want, you can use any external tool like the following one to check all the internal, external, and incoming links on your page:
    https://www.seoreviewtools.com/internal-link-analyzer/

If you see a huge mismatch between the count of Rank Math and the external tool, please head over to your WP Dashboard > Rank Math > Status & Tools > Database tools, and from there click the Delete Internal Links Data button and then save the page again without any change: https://rankmath.com/kb/rank-math-status-and-tools/#delete-internal-links-data

In this process, Rank Math only reset the links count. It doesn’t remove any actual internal or external links from your pages.

Let us know how it goes. Looking forward to helping you.

    Thank you.

for Link Counter Not Displaying on All Pages in Dashboard issue ?

    Hello,

The Link Counter will only be added to the pages that are set to Index. If the pages are set to Index and the Link Counter is still not available, we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.

Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.
    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):
