    Hi,

With reference of article (https://rankmath.com/kb/titles-and-meta/) under the section “Post” this blog post mentioned the default entry in the “heading” and “description” field as “%title” and “%excerpt” respectively. However, on my side the default entries for “heading” and “description” are shown as “%seo_title” and “%seo_description” respectively. Can you please tell me why I am seeing this difference in my default settings. And how my settings will work as default if i leave them as it is?

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

Where are you checking those settings? Inside a post or in the global Post settings? Could you share a screenshot?

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

    Hi,

Thanks for letting me know this. So now which version should i prefer? the latest one with seo prefix in it? And I have updated the most settings with “excerpt”. Should i change all these settings with new %seo prefix setting?

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

Both options would be fine, but if you don’t have a lot of experience and just want it “out-of-the-box”, I would recommended setting them as they were when you enabled the plugin, that way it will just work.

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.
