  • Hello, we apologize for the issue you are facing. To detect a ‘noindex’ directive in the HTTP header ‘X-Robots-Tag’, you can use various online tools or browser developer tools to inspect the HTTP headers of your webpage. Here’s how you can do it:

    1. Use Browser Developer Tools:

      • Open your website in a web browser (like Chrome or Firefox).
      • Right-click on the page and select ‘Inspect’ or press F12 to open Developer Tools.
      • Go to the ‘Network’ tab and refresh the page.
      • Click on the main document (usually the first entry) and look for the ‘Headers’ section.
      • Check for the ‘X-Robots-Tag’ in the response headers. If it says X-Robots-Tag: noindex, then that is the cause of your issue.
    2. Use Online Tools: You can also use online HTTP header checkers like httpstatus.io to analyze your URL and see if the ‘X-Robots-Tag’ is set to ‘noindex’.

If you find that the ‘X-Robots-Tag’ is indeed set to ‘noindex’, you will need to modify your server configuration to remove or change this directive. If you’re unsure how to do this, please reply to this ticket, and a human agent from the Rank Math Support team will assist you further. Thank you for raising this concern!

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

Please share the affected URL where you’re facing this error.

In case, you’re inspecting your sitemap URL in your Google Search Console then it is normal because, by default, sitemaps are set to Noindex as they are meant to be crawled and not to be displayed on search results pages.

You should only submit your sitemap to the sitemap section of your GSC account and shouldn’t use the URL inspection tool for the sitemap URLs.
