Description Not Pulling Over on Homepage

1. Meta Description: Ensure that you have correctly set the Meta Description in the Rank Math snippet editor for your homepage. You can do this by navigating to Rank Math SEO → Titles & Meta → Homepage. Here, you can enter your desired Meta Title and Meta Description.

   

2. Static Page vs. Latest Posts: Check if your homepage is set to display a static page or your latest posts. You can find this under WordPress Dashboard → Settings → Reading → Your Homepage displays. If it’s set to display the latest posts, the Meta Description may not be applied as expected.

3. Site Name and Tagline: To ensure that your site name and tagline are displayed correctly, go to WordPress Dashboard → Settings → General and make sure both the Site Title and Tagline fields are filled out correctly. After making any changes, remember to click Save Changes.

   

4. Caching Issues: Sometimes, caching plugins or browser cache can cause old data to display. Clear any caching on your site and in your browser to see if that resolves the issue.

If the title/description is already set in the page’s source code, please note that Google and other search engines sometimes ignore the custom meta info altogether and show something from the page’s content that matches the search intent better.
