Hello,
We apologize for the issue you are facing with the sudden drop in impressions. It sounds like there are a few factors at play here that could be affecting your website’s performance in search results.
-
Page Indexing: The fact that you have around 203 pages not indexed can significantly impact your impressions and overall ranking. If these pages are important for your site’s content, it’s crucial to address the indexing issues. You can monitor your site’s indexation status using Google Search Console or the Index Status report in Rank Math’s Analytics. This will help you identify any errors that need fixing.

-
Design Changes: Changing the design of your site can also affect how search engines crawl and index your pages. If the new design has altered the structure or accessibility of your content, it might lead to a drop in impressions. Ensure that your new design maintains good SEO practices, such as proper use of headings, alt tags for images, and internal linking.
-
Categories and Tags: Creating categories and tags can affect ranking, but it depends on how they are implemented. Properly structured categories and tags can help organize your content and improve user experience, which can positively influence SEO. However, if they are poorly managed (e.g., duplicate content or keyword stuffing), they could negatively impact your rankings.
To summarize, addressing the indexing issues and ensuring that your new design adheres to SEO best practices will be essential in recovering your impressions. If you have further questions or need assistance, please reply to this ticket, and a human agent from the Rank Math Support team will assist you further.
Thank you for raising this concern!
Hello,
Thank you for contacting us. We apologize for any inconvenience this issue may have caused.
The drop in impressions could be related to several factors, including the changes you made to your site’s design. The fact that many of your pages, especially tag pages and paginated blog pages, are not indexed may indeed impact your rankings, as Google is not indexing all of your content.
If important pages are not being indexed, it can affect your visibility and rankings. You might want to review why those pages are not being indexed and fix any issues.
There could be various reasons for this, such as a lack of relevant content, low-quality backlinks, poor website design, or strong competition. We suggest conducting a thorough audit of your website to identify any areas that may need improvement.
https://rankmath.com/kb/seo-analysis/You can start by analyzing your website’s content and ensuring that it is relevant, high-quality, and optimized with the right keywords. You should also focus on building high-quality backlinks from reputable websites in your niche. Additionally, make sure your website is mobile-friendly and has a fast loading time to improve user experience.
Another important factor is the level of competition for the keywords you are targeting. If many established companies in your niche have a strong online presence, it may take longer to rank higher in search engine results.
Also, search results can disappear and re-appear on Google and other search engines as they test out your results to find out where it is most relevant to be placed.

Include archive pages for terms of this taxonomy in the XML sitemap.
Include archive pages for terms of this taxonomy in the HTML sitemap.Hello,
If you have set the taxonomy pages to index, you can enable the Include in Sitemap option to submit the taxonomies to Google. The Include in HTML Sitemap option will add the terms to the HTML sitemap. If you have enabled the HTML sitemap, you can enable the option to help users find the archive pages.
Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
