Data Security

    Rank Math free

    Hi,

We just purchased a license and are about to begin installing RankMath for all of our clients. There was a concern made about the security of the user data on the website and whether or not RankMath takes any of that data off-site in order to process it for SEO purposes. Here is how the concern was posed to me, can you please help me answer?

“Hey there @Lou Lynch question about RankMath — I can’t tell if the plugin connects to an external server that does the heavy lifting? And if so, do we have to be concerned at all about the plugin grabbing any student info that we display on the website? For example, if we add a resource center that says, “Hi Lou, thank you for your interest in the SMU Online MBA”, will the plugin be capturing your name and passing it back to its server? And I guess the follow-up question is, would we be able to exclude certain pages from RankMath’s scope?”

Thank you for contacting Rank Math support and bringing your concern to our attention.

Yes, some data are processed in our server depending on what module you are using.

We have all the information about the data shared and in what ways, besides plenty of other useful information on our Privacy Policy here: https://rankmath.com/privacy-policy/

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
