Customising the sitemap URLs

    Hi,

    I am using Listify theme, which runs on WP Job Manager plugin for creating listings and listings categories. My site is not a job listing site and the taxonomies do no reference ‘job’ at all. But when the sitemaps were created, the URLs of the sitemaps for the listing sections are all:
    example.com/job-listing…
    example.com/job-category…

    and so on.

    Is there a way of customising this or is this a setting elsewhere in my site that needs changing? Not sure if it really has an impact on the SEO but it doesn’t seem very reflective of the content contained within my sitemaps, so not sure it would help Google determine what the content is?

    The names of the categories are controlled by the WP Job Manager that registers the post type and the taxonomies. I can suggest that you get in touch with the author of this plugin so that they can advise on how to customize the names of the taxonomies.
