Hello, I have a custom post type with my shop system named “prd” for products. I can choose to add them into the sitemap, and a prd-sitemap.xml is generated, but when I clid it, I get a 404 error. The link is also not added to the general sitemap.xml. Any help?

    Thank you.

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math, and sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Can you please follow these steps?
    1. Flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:
    https://i.rankmath.com/pipRDp

    2. Exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server. For plugins or Cloudflare, please follow this article:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/exclude-sitemaps-from-caching/

Once done, clear your website and browser cache and check the sitemap.

That should fix the issue. Please let me know if that does not. We are here to assist.

    Hello,

I have followed the instructions above. No change. It does not seem that the new xml file is generated at all. Where are they stored? I can then check via ftp. The sitemap-folder only contains the 3 previously existing ones.

    regards, Dirk

    Hello,

We dynamically generate the sitemaps on runtime, so you would not find the sitemap files with FTP.

However, we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.

Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.
    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/

We really look forward to helping you.

Hello again, it seems I have opened this ticket with a different account. I normally use a pro-account and had opened a ticket a while ago on this same topic, which slipped my memory. The other ticket is #223422 – I suggest that we switch to that one since it already contains the login data – is that ok?
    regards, Dirk

    Hello,

That ticket was already marked resolved 2 months ago. We lose access to the sensitive data section (containing the login details) when a ticket is marked resolved.

However, if you wish, you can login with your PRO account and open a new ticket in the PRO support forums and share the logins there.

Alternatively, you can share the login details in the sensitive data section of this ticket so that we can further investigate.

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Thank you.

Hello, I opened a new ticket under pro account – that way I can keep track much better.
    regards, Dirk
