Hello,
We apologize for the issue you are facing with your custom post type not being optimized for SEO. Thank you for providing the screenshots; they will help us understand the situation better.
To ensure that your custom post type is properly configured for SEO with Rank Math, please follow these steps:
-
Check Titles & Meta Settings: Go to Rank Math > Titles & Meta in your WordPress dashboard. Make sure that your custom post type is listed there and that the SEO Title and Description settings are correctly configured.
-
Enable SEO Controls: In the Titles & Meta settings, ensure that the Add SEO Controls option is enabled for your custom post type. This allows Rank Math to manage the SEO settings for that post type.

-
Indexing Settings: Check if the custom post type is set to be indexed. If it’s a user-facing post type, it should be indexed. You can find this setting under Rank Math > Sitemap Settings and ensure that the Include in Sitemap option is enabled.

-
Save Changes: After making any changes, don’t forget to click the Save Changes button to apply them.
If you have followed these steps and are still experiencing issues, please reply to this ticket with more details about what specific aspects of SEO are not functioning as expected, and a human agent from the Rank Math Support team will assist you further.
Thank you for your patience, and we look forward to helping you resolve this issue!
Hello,
If you’re referring to the SEO Score not showing on these pages, you’ll have to add the focus keyword for that. Here’s how you can add the meta tags to these pages by using the Rank Math plugin: https://rankmath.com/kb/seo-meta-tags/
You can also follow this guideline on how you can score 100/100 on these pages: https://rankmath.com/kb/score-100-in-tests/
Hope that helps and please don’t hesitate to let us know if you have any other questions.
Thank you.
We have about 500 posts under this custom post type. It would take forever to manually input this information for each of them. Is there no way to bulk or auto index these for keywords etc?
Hello,
In this case, you can use a filter mentioned in this guideline to automatically include the focus keyword on your pages: https://rankmath.com/kb/how-to-automate-the-insertion-of-focus-keyword/
Please make sure to change the post_type with your actual CPT:
'post_type' => 'post'
Let us know how it goes. Looking forward to helping you.
Thank you.
