Custom Meta description not saving/showing

Hi there,

I am using Rank Math for the first time and I am finding that my custom meta titles are saving but my custom meta descriptions underneath the titles are not saving so not showing up at all.

I appreciate any answer that will help, but I warn you that i am not very computer literate so perhaps any answers can keep my illiteracy in mind 😛 !!!!

I did read up on this and saw that a solution for another with the same issues was to –

turn off the SEO settings in their wordpress theme.

Quite honestly I do not know how to do this.

My wordpress theme is the ‘Twenty Fourteen’ theme

i have also followed some advice and installed the plug -in ‘health check’ and upon enabling the ‘troubleshooting’ option realized that I was starting to mess with my site and now I am here – trying to fix this issue while trying to avoid causing another issue!!!
