Custom JavaScript is not allowed AMP

    Hello,

    I have a problem with a not allowed custom javascript in AMP. It is related to almost all my pages that cannot be crawled. Google search console shows the following script. The problem appeared for the first time March 8th. Since I activated RankMath plugin around this date, I thought it could be related to the problem. I tried to paste the script here but then access has been denied to submit the ticket. I posted a link to the image.

    I hope you can help me in this matter. Please note that I am no dev just regular user. Thank you!

    Thank you for contacting the support and we regret the inconvenience caused.

    I tested the page with Google’s AMP testing tool and was able to replicate the issue. However, this is not related to Rank Math. The error simply means that you cannot add custom JavaScript to the AMP pages and the script, as also shown in your screenshot, is present in the source.

    I suggest you get in touch with the support of your AMP plugin as they would be in a better position to assist you.

    Hello,
    thanks for your quick response and suggestion. I will reach out to the AMP plugin support. I have one more question: someone else recommended that I should de-activate plugin by plugin and like this find out what plugin causes the problem. Do you also think this could be helpful? Many thanks!

    Hello,

    If you’ve not manually added that JavaScript code to the website, then yes, you can follow that process to determine which plugin/theme is adding the script.

    If you’ll follow this process on a live site, then alternatively, you can follow this guide so that your website’s visitors are not affected by the troubleshooting: https://rankmath.com/kb/check-plugin-conflicts/
