    Rank Math pro

When deactivating a plugin (Genesis Page Builder) the website suffered a critical Error and went down.

Thankfully, followed the WP recovery email and process and problem given as Rank Math SEO. Activated again Ok after WP recovery and up and running again.

Read your critical error docs here and downloaded/installed and activated the “Repair Action Scheduler” plugin but it failed to work. Messages given was: “The Repair Action Scheduler could not run because the repair database is obsolete. No actions performed. The Repair Action Scheduler plugin has been automatically deactivated”

Can you advise what action I can take to avoid this problem in future?

    Thanks,
    Richard

  • Hello,

Thanks for contacting us, and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

Please try following the steps I’ve shared below:

    1. Please follow the steps from this KB guide to fix the issue:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/fatal-error-after-1-0-49-update/

    2. Please follow only the first 2 steps and clear your caches. The following steps mentioned in the article are for advanced users.

    Here’s a video screencast:
    https://i.rankmath.com/KStFug

Please clear all the cache, including the server after following the above process and that should resolve the issue.

If the issue persists, then we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.

Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.

    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Thank you.

    Hi Sakib,

You did not read my email but I did complete steps 1 & 2 except for not clearing caches.

Repeated same steps, cleared local and Cloudflare caches, and exactly same problem.

Same error message popped up: “The Repair Action Scheduler could not run because the repair database is obsolete…”

This should not need you to access site admin as problem appears to be with utility software provided.

Can you advise/suggest how to update the “repair database”?

    Hello,

A few users reported that they are encountering the issue. But after applying the fix mentioned above, the issue is resolved in most cases.

However, since it’s a different situation in your case, the fix isn’t working, we’ll have to check that by logging into your site.

If you allow us to do, we’d like to troubleshoot further and find the root cause of the issue. Hence, please include WordPress and FTP credentials in the sensitive data section.

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Thank you.
