    Our website is about e-learning courses created by us. On the Course Description page, we were using Schema snippet as course. BUT we have not posted any reviews of those courses and anyway now Google says (according to your blog post) that they will discount the self rated reviews anyway. So my question is should I change the schema of the post from Course to Article? I have not posted any reviews on those pages talking about my course.

    While using course schema, the rating is optional. You can test your URL on Google rich results test here: https://search.google.com/test/rich-results and you will note there is no issue with your course schema.
