Hi,
I’m trying to optimize a page and get the error message for Overall Content Length under Base SEO even though there are more than 61 words . Is is because of the language, not English? Please help.

Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.
If WordPress is getting the right count of words, Rank Math should be too.
To check if WordPress is getting the right count, you have two ways:
- If you are using the Gutenberg editor, you can check the WordPress count as shown on this screencast: https://i.rankmath.com/CKYiAR
- If you are using the Classical editor, you can check the WordPress count as shown on this screencast: https://i.rankmath.com/AAennf
Let us know if WordPress is getting the right word count so we can identify the source of the issue.
Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.
Thank you for your helpful reply. I use Elementor but was able to check that same info. It says 1931 words and 1 block on the page that I pasted its link here.
This is the error message with the red x under the Basic SEO,
Content is 59 words long. Consider using at least 600 words.Hello,
We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/
You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):
https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/
We really look forward to helping you. Thank you.
You mean WP login username and password?
Hello,
Yes, or you can generate a temporal access link. Both ways are explained in our previous message, but if you have any questions about how to do it, just ask us.
Thank you.
Hello,
I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?
Thank you.
I just sent you, but not sure if it was succesfully done cuz an error meesage popped up. Can you check?
BTW, all pages have the same issue despite of a lot of words counts.
Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math today.
I have just checked the affected page ie /about/ page while editing in Elementor and it reports the correct word count as shown below:
Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.
Thank you for checking, but I’m talking about one of two errors under the Basic SEO section of Rank Math,
– Content is 58 words long. Consider using at least 600 wordsI think the Elementor tab shows correct word counts which is 1931 words instead of 58 words above.
Your attached image link is broken, I can’t see it but the following link is the image of that section that I found online, this is not mine, though,
https://i0.wp.com/bloggingpal.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/RankMath-SEO-9.png?w=1100&ssl=1In the image, 4170 words while mine is 58 words.
Hi,
This is the screenshot my colleague wanted to share:
https://i.rankmath.com/MU8WDqI think it has to do with the language. Japanese words are not counted the same way other languages and that’s where the discrepancy is coming from.
This is something we are working on improving. For now, you can disregard the count in Rank Math.
The score is there only for your reference anyway and doesn’t affect your actual rankings. Treat it only as a to-do list, nothing more. Don’t try to live by it and don’t follow the tests religiously.
Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
Thank you, Todd. I thought so, too and saw similar result on other SEO tool. Anyway, it was good to clarify.
