    Hi,
I just used Content AI for the first time for a product description. After watching the video about what we have to write so that Content AI can write a description, I filled in the required blanks.
My product description is still at 57/100 (I had the same score before using Content AI). I also have the same errors in Basic SEO and Additional.
In the Additional section, I clicked on use Content AI to optimise the product and it seems that nothing has changed.I wonder if I did this properly?
Does a production description have to be 600 words long?
My focus keyword appears at the beginning of the content and in the content but there are still red crosses in the Basic SEO section.
Where can I find the SEO Meta description?
I didn’t understand what an outbound link is.

I’m sorry for all this, I’m a beginner in SEO and to me it’s complicated.

Thanks a lot for your help.

    Best regards.

  • Hello,

There’s no strict requirement for a product description to be exactly 600 words. However, it’s important to provide enough detailed and relevant content to help users and search engines understand the product. Aim for clarity and value, ensuring the description is comprehensive and engaging without being overly lengthy.

You can adjust your AI prompt a bit to be more descriptive in its output.

My focus keyword appears at the beginning of the content and in the content but there are still red crosses in the Basic SEO section.

Can you please confirm if you are using any custom page builder to construct your content?

Also. please share a screenshot of the product content from your editor and the specific focus keyword you’re using.

Where can I find the SEO Meta description?

Here’s a guide you can follow to edit the meta description: https://rankmath.com/kb/seo-meta-tags/

However, if you’re looking for the meta description on the frontend, you won’t see it visually on the page but within the source code. You can use this tool to check your your page’s meta description: https://rankmath.com/tools/meta-tag-analyzer/

I didn’t understand what an outbound link is.

An outbound link is a hyperlink that points to a different website or domain outside of your own. For example, if you link to another blog or a resource that’s not part of your site, that’s considered an outbound link.

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Hello,
Thank you so much for your help.
I understand, thanks to your explanation, what an outbound link is. However, I think I don’t get the “no follow” notion.
On my product description, I have 2 outbound links (my Pinterest account and my Kahoot account). This counts as an error in the SEO analysis.
What should I do to get this right?
    Thanks for your help.

    Hello,

Did you enable the option to set the external links to “nofollow” under WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math SEO > General Settings > Links?

That could explain why the outbound links are being detected as “nofollow”.

Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.

    Hello,
I enabled the option you mentioned but it didn’t change anything in the product description (I refreshed the page and even disconnected and logged in again).
The 2 outbound links are still nofollow.
    Thanks for you help.

    Hello,

If the outbound links are still marked as “nofollow,” it’s likely due to the global setting applied under Rank Math SEO > General Settings > Links. This automatically adds the “nofollow” attribute to all external links.

Whether external links should be set to “nofollow” depends on their purpose and context.

External links should be “nofollow” when they are sponsored, untrusted, or irrelevant to avoid passing link equity. For high-quality, relevant resources that add value, “dofollow” is recommended.

We hope this helps. Please let us know if you have further questions or concerns.

    Thank you.

    Hello,
The 2 actual outbound links that are nofollow are my Pinterest account and my Kahoot account. They both are related to my teaching activity.
How do I qualify them as “dofollow”?
    Thanks for your help.

    Hello,

For links like your Pinterest and Kahoot accounts, which are directly related to your teaching activity and add value to your content, it is generally fine to qualify them as dofollow. This allows search engines to follow these links and associate them with your website.

However, if you prefer not to pass link equity or want to avoid over-linking, you can leave them as nofollow. Ultimately, the decision depends on your SEO strategy and how you want to manage link authority.

Let us know if you have further questions.

    Thank you.

    Hi,
I would like to know how do I qualify the external links as dofollow.
Where do I go in the settings to do that?
Besides, I have an issue and I don’t know what to do: on my product description, I link other products that are related to the product I’m selling. Each time I click on these related products, the error message appears “Oops, 404”. I don’t understand why and I don’t know how to fix it.
    Could you please help me?
    Thanks.
    Best regards.

    Hello,

To set your external links as “dofollow” you can disable the global “nofollow” option for external links in Rank Math SEO > General Settings > Links. Once disabled, your external links will be “dofollow” by default.

Regarding the “404” error on related product links, this typically means the linked pages don’t exist or there’s an issue with the URL. Please check if the related product pages are published and the URLs are correct.

You may share some of the affected URLs here so we can take a closer look from our end.

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Hello,

Regarding the nofollow option, please find attached a screenshot of my settings following your instructions. Did I do it correctly? Because it hasn’t changed the error message in the SEO analysis of my product description.

Regarding the 404 error, for example, on this product description: https://englishbycorgi.com/product/fun-capital-cities-quiz-kahoot-english/
I’m linking other products that are related to this product. When I click on this link: Fun Kahoot game for practicing the verb BE in the product description, I have a 404 error message.
I modified the permalink of these 2 products after I started using RankMath SEO to improve my product description. I guess by doing that, I broke something but I don’t know what.
    What should I do?
    Thanks for your help.
    Best regards.

    Hello,

From your screenshot, please click the save changes button (if not yet).

If those external links are still set to nofollow, then one of your plugins or active theme might be adding it to your links.

Also, there seems to be a URL shortener applying to your links that’s why it is getting cut off. You’ll also notice the URL is incomplete with ... in the middle.

Assuming you are using the latest version of all the plugins and the themes (please update if not yet), to determine that, please follow this troubleshooting guide:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/check-plugin-conflicts/

Here is a video you can follow as well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FcIWRhcUP2c

Only the site admin would know and your users won’t be affected by this troubleshooting.

    Looking forward to helping you.
