connecting account with staging site

    I’m hosting my site on kinsta and we often use the staging site for changes and push to production. If I connect staging to rankmath.com then will it mess up the statistics? How do I handle a staging site?

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math.

    You can connect the staging website to your account by going to WordPress dashboard > Rank Math dashboard > Help
    connect

    However, we don’t recommend setting up the Analytics module inside staging or development environments as those are never intended for indexation and as such the Analytics won’t provide any insights or help.

    Well thats my point. So it seems every time I deploy to production I have to manually reconnect my site?

    Hello,

    Yes, since Kinsta’s staging URL is something like staging-sitename.kinsta.cloud.., you may need to reconnect your website to your Rank Math account to update the URL as well upon pushing it to live with the correct domain/URL.
