Configuring a 301 redirect

#6310
  • I am having issues with a blank sitemap and google console not registering hits to the website. Also rankmath is stating 404 Monitor Log Count of 73 and 404 URI Hits of 73, However, everything on my site is working correctly. I did just implement a 301 redirect on godaddy because when I started my blog I was using a different domain name. I also just applied the 301 redirect inside of rankmath from http://www.chrisandregtl.com to http://www.chrisandregtravel.com. Please let me know if I did this correctly.
Also I changed http to https in google analytics and google search console.
    Please advise,
    Christina

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

I have checked your sitemap and it is displaying correctly, if Google is unable to find your sitemap you will need to submit a new sitemap that is pointing to the updated site URL.
Please head over to Rank Math > General Settings > 404 monitor and enable the advanced monitoring and thus you will be able to identify the referrer of the 404s.

Let me know how this goes. Thank you.

    Hi there,

    Thanks for the question.

Please enable the 404 monitor module and then head over to Dashboard > Rank Math > 404 monitor and you will get a detailed report and be able to redirect them.
