    Hi Rank Math team,

I’ve recently installed your plugin and I’m really happy with its features so far—great work!

However, I’ve encountered a few issues that seem to be related to compatibility with my current WordPress theme, Uncode.

While running on-page SEO analysis, Rank Math fails to detect certain elements correctly. For example:

It doesn’t recognize the focus keyword at the beginning of the content, even though it is clearly there.

It reports that the H1 tag is missing on the homepage, although a title is visually and structurally present.

It also doesn’t detect the focus keywords in image ALT tags, even though they have been properly set.

    My question is:
Should I be concerned about these warnings? Is it possible that Google is detecting everything correctly, but Rank Math cannot due to the way the Uncode theme renders content? Or do these warnings reflect actual SEO issues that Google might also be missing?

I’d appreciate your guidance on whether these should be fixed or safely ignored in this specific case.

Thanks again for your support and a great tool.

    Best regards,

  • Hello,

We apologize for the issues you are facing with the Rank Math plugin and its compatibility with the Uncode theme. Thank you for your kind words about our features!

    Regarding your concerns:

    1. Focus Keyword Detection: If Rank Math is not recognizing the focus keyword at the beginning of your content, it could be due to how the Uncode theme structures or renders the content. This might not necessarily mean that Google is missing it, but it’s important to ensure that your focus keywords are placed prominently in a way that both Rank Math and search engines can detect.

    2. Missing H1 Tag: The report of a missing H1 tag on your homepage, despite a visible title, suggests that there may be an issue with how the theme outputs the HTML structure. It’s crucial for SEO that the H1 tag is correctly implemented, as it serves as a primary indicator of the page’s topic.

    3. Image ALT Tags: Similar to the focus keyword detection, if Rank Math is not detecting focus keywords in image ALT tags, this could be due to how the theme handles image attributes. Properly set ALT tags are important for SEO and accessibility, so it’s worth investigating further.

    Hello,

Thank you for your query and we are so sorry about the trouble this must have caused.

We checked your website and the H1 tag is nowhere to be found in the page source as you can see from the screenshot below:

It is possible that your theme is using a different method to store and generate content in the frontend. If this is the case, Rank Math can’t recognize the elements in your content properly, which leads to failed tests in the Content Analysis.

To address that, you’ll have to contact your theme author and apply our Content analysis API: https://rankmath.com/kb/content-analysis-api/

With all that said, Google will still see the content visually and our Content Analysis tests are just guidelines and one does not need to follow them religiously. Additionally, it won’t affect your ranking as long as your content is optimally written.

At the end of the day, the content needs to be written for the readers and not for the search engines.

Don’t hesitate to get in touch with us if you have any other questions.
