Hi, I have this problem my child sitemaps are not indexed in Google search Console and Last read is 2 months ago 6/14/22, So I have 0 Total discovered URLs.

I have tried the following solutions but didn’t work

    1. Deleting sitemap in GSC and re add again
    2. Clear sitemap cache follow Rank math Guide
    3. Exclude Sitemap from caching in my caching Plugin – am using Wp Optimize, I will attach Cache Exclude settings
    4. Purge site cache and re-add sitemap again in GSC.

All those solutions didn’t work for me

    Search Console Screenshot Site 1:

Site 1 Screenshot in Google Search Console

Site 1: Last read is ok but Child sitemaps are not indexed in Search Console

    GSC site 2:

Site 2 Screenshot from Google Search Console

Exclude Caches Settings in my Dashboard

    Exclude Cache Settings

I also read this in Google Support which is the same issue as I have, they say it because the child sitemap haven’t yet been processed.. How to fix that issue?

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math support, and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

Your sitemap doesn’t seem to be generated by our plugin as the style is currently missing.

    Can you please confirm?

Please head over to your website folder (FTP or File manager) and check for any physical sitemap files and delete them.

If the issue persists, we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.

Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.
    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

We really look forward to helping you.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

Hi, am using your Plugin I just hide Style a day ago just to hide wordpress footprint

    Hello,

I checked your sitemaps again and they seem to be working and loading, including the sub-sitemaps.

Please try adding this rule to your Cloudflare: https://rankmath.com/kb/exclude-sitemaps-from-caching/#cloudflare

This should exclude your sitemap from being cached.

I also went ahead and added a filter code to your website to completely flush the sitemap cache from the wp-content/uploads.

Remove all your sitemaps from your GSC and resubmit only the primary sitemap (sitemap_index.xml).

After that, you may give Google some time to recrawl your sitemap and see if this changes the status you see in GSC.

Let us know how that goes. Looking forward to helping you.

Thank you, I excluded my Sitemap from caching on CF days ago.. Let me try again to re add and see, I will let you know

What I recognize is Google index only my Cast Sitemap.. Which I enable to not included in My sitemap..

I have been thinking, What if I change the sitemap URL and re Submit to Google.. Because when I re submit the same sitemap url.. it like google they cached it.. it appear with the same issue or the same cached cast sitemap with google I think

    Hello,

In this case, can you try following the step from this guide? https://rankmath.com/kb/couldnt-fetch-error-google-search-console/#num-6-rename-the-sitemap-file

Let us know how that goes. Looking forward to helping you.

    Thank you.

    Hello,

I checked the sitemap, it is showing a connection time-out error randomly.

Can you please set the links per sitemap to 100 and resubmit the main sitemap in the Search Console?

After submitting the sitemaps, wait for Google to crawl the sitemap.

    Hope this helps.

    Thank you.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

Hi, I change my sitemap settings to 100 links per sitemap.. and submitted to google but the same issue.. I have also change the base url of sitemap and re submit to google but the same issue.

Please check the new sitemap url in Sensitive data I have updated it. Thank you

    Hello,

We don’t recommend switching the base of the sitemap but rather submitting the sitemap the same way that was mentioned in the tutorial we shared previously.
    https://rankmath.com/kb/couldnt-fetch-error-google-search-console/#num-6-rename-the-sitemap-file

Adding a base to the sitemap won’t make a difference in this case but the steps mentioned before are something that might help.

Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.
