    Hello RankMath support,

Please check my site to see if there are any problems. Because my site has got a lot including home pages and posts are not being indexed, and those that are indexed are not showing the correct meta description.

I urge you to check my website properly to see if there are any settings on my website that are not indexing my website, and that the meta description I used in my post is showing something else.

Sensitive Data: I have given login access to my website

    Thank you

    Hello,

Thank you for getting in touch and I am extremely sorry about the trouble this might have caused.

There are a few things you must check for in order to see why the posts aren’t getting indexed.

    1. Make sure the post is not selected as ‘noindex’ in WP > Posts > Your Post > Advanced Tab in Rank Math.
    Screenshot:

    Individual Post Advanced Tab

    2. Ensure that the noindex is not selected for Global or Posts meta:

    Noindex Settings

    3. Check the sitemap settings and check if the posts are setup to be included in the sitemaps:

    Post Settings

Please note that it is completely upto Google if they want to index or not index your website. So, if you haven’t willingly or accidentally made your posts noindex and Google still isn’t indexing your page – it means that either Google doesn’t want to index or hasn’t crawled your page yet because it hasn’t allocated that much crawl budget to your website.

Please check this website for more details.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

Some of my posts have been indexed but showing something other than the meta description I used in my post.

    Hello,

    Thank you for following up.

Could you also share some of the URLs that are still not indexed? You can include them in the designated Sensitive Data section.

You can also check this tool if your meta title and description are properly set:
    https://www.heymeta.com/

If the Google results are not properly showing your posts’ title and description, you must check if Google has seen the changes already or not.

For that, please check when the Google cache was updated for that page:
    a. cache
    b. cached

If the cache date is from before adding the new meta description, you have to wait for Google to re-crawl and re-index the page with the new info. If the date is after you made the changes, you have to wait it out, and there is no further input needed from your end.

I hope that helps. Thank you, and looking forward to your update.
