    Hi,

Since a week i have the effect that changes on a few products are not saved. Sometimes it is saved, sometimes it does not save. Furthermore rankmath seems to slow down the website since the last updates.

Can you investigate from your end what might be causing this?

    Regards

  • Hello,

Thank you for getting in touch with us.

Could you please share a screencast of when the data doesn’t get saved?

About the slow down, please install the Query Monitor plugin on your website to see exactly what is causing the slowness. It will give you the queries and the plugins/theme that is behind those queries.

If you are talking about the front-end – it is highly unlikely that Rank Math would be the reason because we do not add any scripts or CSS to the frontend. But, you can use GTMetrix to know exactly what is causing the slowdown as well.

Checking your website, we see the #1 reason for the slowdown is elfsight-instagram-feed/ among others.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

I talked to the content guy again, it turns out that plain text is saved, but when adding emojis it will not save. So it seems to be the problem is in that area.

Doing some more testing turned out that adding emojis from http://www.iemoji.com will not save at all, while adding copied emojis from http://www.getemojis.net will save about 50-60% of the time.

About the slowness, we will eliminate the instafeed (thanks for pointing that out)

    Hello,

How are you adding the emojis to your site? Could you please create a screencast adding the emojis from the different sources and share in the sensitive section. You can use https://www.loom.com to create the screencast.

You should also check with your web host and see if your database support emojis in all tables.

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.
