In the unlikely event that you run into a situation where your SEO Title, Description, and/or Focus Keyword aren’t being saved when you update a post or page – here are some of the most common causes:

1 Plugin Conflicts
There can be plugin conflicts due to which you might not be able to save the SEO Title, Description, Focus Keyword. You can solve these plugin conflicts by going through our Knowledge Base on Plugin Conflict.

2 Firewall
If you are using a Firewall there are chances that it will prevent saving the data.

3 JavaScript-related Errors
If you are experiencing issues while saving your SEO Title, Description, or Focus keyword then it could be due to JavaScript-related errors. You can diagnose the JavaScript-related errors from the JavaScript Console.

4 Blocked Access to the file
If you see blocked access to this file: /wp-json/rankmath/v1/updateMeta?_locale=user – then you can whitelist the file using or use WordFence in Learning Mode. These instructions are for WordFence but will likely work on any firewall plugin/software.

How to Ensure Rank Math Meta Data Can Be Updated?
You have to ensure that the file is whitelisted and access to it isn’t blocked using a plugin like WordFence. You can install WordFence as well and see if you can replicate the issue. If you aren’t sure, then you can ask the web host why that file is showing a 403.

To whitelist a file in WordFence, navigate to WordFence > Tools in your WordPress admin area. Click on Whitelist Param from Firewall.

The SEO Analysis shows the meta description of your homepage. Could you confirm if you’ve updated the meta description for the homepage and still it is not showing in the SEO Analysis?

If yes, then please head over to your WordPress admin area > Rank Math > Status & Tools > Database tools > Flush SEO analysis data and Remove Rank Math Transients, then perform SEO analysis again and see if the issue is fixed.

Also, I checked the source of your website and I found that there are duplicate meta og tags. Please see this screenshot for a quick reference: https://i.rankmath.com/kmCbl0

Duplicate og tags might confuse the social media platforms about which tags to honor. Please follow this troubleshooting guide to determine which plugin or theme is causing this issue: https://rankmath.com/kb/check-plugin-conflicts/

Once you find the plugin/theme inserting the duplicate tags, you can disable its og tags and other SEO-related features to fix this issue.

Thanks for your reply.

All the tags in the screenshot that I shared in my previous reply are duplicated tags. If you’ll scroll a bit in the page’s source, you’ll see the same tags generated by Rank Math in the Rank Math’s meta section.

You can follow the troubleshooting guide that I shared previously, and disable plugins one by one by checking the homepage’s source.
