    Hello!

    We use Rankmath on both our sites and i want to change permalink structure on our wordpress page. We also use woocommerce how can we do this safest way with rankmath ?

    1. Navigate to Permalinks in WordPress

    Go to WordPress Settings → Permalinks.

    2. Select the Permalink Structure

    In this section, you can choose from various structures available. By default, Plain structure is used by WordPress, but it’s not optimal for SEO. Select a different setting that suits your needs and then save your changes.

    3. Custom Permalinks (if needed)

    If you want to assign a custom path to individual posts, pages, tags, or categories, you can select the Custom Structure option and choose from the available tags.

    4. WooCommerce Specific Settings

    If you want to remove the category base from WooCommerce product URLs, you can enable the Remove category base option in Rank Math settings. This will make your permalinks cleaner and easier to read.

    5. URL Redirection

    After changing permalinks, ensure that old URLs redirect to the new ones. Rank Math can automatically create redirects for posts when their slugs are changed. However, this feature is only applicable to posts, not pages or custom post types.

    Hello,

    Thank you for contacting us and bringing your concern to our attention.

    Please note that Rank Math doesn’t handle the permalink structure of your website. If you want to change the structure, you can do this from WP Dashboard > Settings > Permalink Structure.

    After that, WordPress should automatically redirect the URLs from your old structure to the new one.

    In case, it doesn’t redirect the URLs automatically, you can create manual redirection on Rank Math: https://rankmath.com/kb/how-to-create-a-redirection/
