Change Internal Link for Headless WP

    Rank Math free

    Hello!
I have set up my WordPress to be headless and I put it into a subdomain, let’s say api.domain.com. My front-end is at domain.com. With this setup, I have seen RankMath doesn’t recognize “domain.com” as internal link when making a punctuation of the article content. Is there anywhere where I can set up this configuration to make the plugin recognize “domain.com” as the internal base domain?
    Best regards,
    Luis

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting the support, and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

Since Rank Math was configured and installed separately in your subdomain, Rank Math will consider the domain.com site as an external URL. Rank Math recognizes the primary domain and subdomain as a separate site as this is also what search engine sees.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

    Hello Jeremy,
Are you planning to introduce a setting that allows RankMath to change the recognized primary domain? Maybe it’s ok to have the installation domain by default, but in some cases this might not fit, as for example in any Headless installation that is not located in the same domain.
    Best regards

    Hello,

At the moment, we don’t have immediate plans for it as Search Engines will see the primary domain and subdomain as separate sites.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
