    Rank Math free

    Hi,
    i’ve a short question.
    I’m using a Woocommerce Shop with RankMath. Everything is working fine.

    I created an product-attribute called “Brand” and i seleced this attribute to set the brand for the snipplet.

    This works fine, but with one Problem.

    The Brand-Typ is “thing”. The Google Search Guidlines says the brand-typ should be “brand”

    How can I change that ?

    Now it says:

    "brand": {
                    "@type": "Thing",
                    "name": "Audi"

    and I want it to be:

    "brand": {
                    "@type": "brand",
                    "name": "Audi"

    Is there a way to fix this ?

    Thanks

  • Hello,

    i just tested my products with the Google Rich Test Tool and it worked just fine.

    It’s ok to define the Brand-Type as “thing”.

    Hello,

    Thank you for getting in touch with us.

    Is your issue now resolved?

    Please note you can fix the brand issue with Rank math, just head over to WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > General Settings > WooCommerce and choose from any of the available fields to use as your product’s brands.

    Brand Value

    If you want to use a custom value for your Brands, you can do that by using the following code in your theme’s functions.php file:

    // Add Brand for Products.
    add_filter( 'rank_math/snippet/rich_snippet_product_entity', function( $entity ) {
    $entity['brand'] = 'Rank Math;
    return $entity;
    });

    Replace the “Rank Math” text with your actual brand name then run your website through the Structured Data Testing tool once again.

    Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
