WordPress doesn’t allow to change the author slug and that’s why the changes made to the slug in our plugin’s meta box will not update it. You will have to use the following plugin to change the author slug: https://wordpress.org/plugins/edit-author-slug/

I’m using this plugin but Rank Math changes my custom author slug by “admin”. If I disable Rank Math, it’s ok. Where is the setting to change that in Rank Math ?

The plugin will update the author’s slug, but it won’t be updated in our plugin’s meta box. However, our plugin will use the correct URL everywhere on the site, including meta tags and the Schema.

But how can I change the author slug in the meta box ? I don’t see an option for that
With the plugin “edit author slug” I’v changed the slug by “team”. So the URL is “author/team”
It works until I activate Rank Math. When Rank Math is activated I have “author/admin”. When I deactivate Rank Math, it’s ok
I’m using this plugin in an another site with Rank Math and it’s ok. I’m using the same theme, so I don’t understand where the problem could come from on this site ? What could be the problem ?

For troubleshooting, please check if the Author Archives option is enabled on your site in Rank Math > Titles & Meta > Author.
You can try to enable/disable it and check the author URL again.

Before sending you the login, I whish to share this : if I create a second account, then it works with this account. But with the first account, the custom slug does not work
I created the first account when installing WordPress via Softaculous, not manually. With this account, Rank Math seems to override the setting of the plugin edit-author-slug
But with an account created directly in the backoffice of WordPress, it’s ok. Does it helps you to find the problem ?
