Hello, I receive a notification from Google Search Console this morning, showing me that some of the categories were marked “noindex”.

But the problem is I never ever set the categories “noindex” before, and I also set the categories’ robots meta to “index”, I am not sure why this issue happens.

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting the support, and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

I tried checking some of the affected URLs and they seem to be set as index as you can see in my screenshot in the Sensitive Data section. You can also verify that here: https://seositecheckup.com/tools/noindex-tag-test

The URLs are also listed in your sitemap so there shouldn’t be any problem indexing.

It is possible that Google Search Console is reporting an old error. You can click on “Validate Fix” to ask Google to check your website once again and verify that the noindex tag no longer there.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

Now I’m facing another issue, the GSC shows that my contact page (https://zacphua.com/contact/) is blocked due to other 4XX issues as shown in the image below.

GSC shows that my contact page has 4XX issues

However, my contact page works just fine, users can send me an email through the form successfully, on top of that, I’ve requested GSC to validate the issue on 16 June 2021, but the validation still hasn’t complete yet.

Do you know the potential issue that causes this error?

    Hello,

I’ve checked your contact page using https://httpstatus.io/, and it is returning an error 409. The error 409 is usually related to issues with the target resource:
    https://i.rankmath.com/NnuA2w

In this case, you may need to contact your web host as they might be in a better position to help you with this since Rank Math does not create any 409 errors.

    I hope that helps.

Thank you, and please don’t hesitate to contact us anytime if you need further assistance with anything else.
